The hosts’ Ms Cosmo and Sipho Muchindu, who now goes by the name Muchie and Sliqe shared their views on the latest Hip Hop releases.

Ms Cosmo, Muchie and Sliqe rated Yanga Chief’s latest release, Ntoni Na, as flaming hot. For his latest track, Yanga Chief collaborated with new wave hip hop artists Blxckie and 25K. The track since it dropped has been receiving compliments from fans, who are loving the work. Fans are not the only ones loving the track as all three POPcast gave it a thumbs up and even praised the artists and even shared their view that the artists are carrying SA Hip Hop. Muchie shared that he feels that Yanga Chief, 25K and Blxckie are carrying the genre and Sliqe agreed with him and even patted his own back, to show exactly what the artists are doing.

“I think Yanga Chief might be my favourite rapper in this country and 25K as well. What a great collaboration, just three guys who are doing amazing things right now. They are carrying SA Hip Hop on their backs. Yanga, who flows better than the guy, his cadence on the track, I love this thing that they did as well dropping the video and then the track at the same time you know that’s an old move that people don’t do anymore. Just give me the confidence to do that, you know I’m giving you a hot banana, here’s the video here’s the song, enjoy yourself,” Sipho, shared

Ms Cosmo, “I was sold already by the Instagram post, cause I was like Blxckie, 25K, Yanga what and then they were all in their traditional gear and I said fully South Ah. But the song is hot, I really do thinks it’s gonna do really great things.” Yanga Chief had quite an interesting marketing strategy for the song. He first deleted all his pictures on his Instagram account and then posted a picture of him and his collaborators. The visuals for Ntoni Na were first dropped on MTV Base’s Spanking New and then only a week later did the song make its way to digital platforms and the video on YouTube.
