Dr Dre Finally Addresses His Wife Beating Past

You know how it goes, when you are about to make money (not that he doesn’t have) something about you always comes up. Since the release of Straight Outta Compton, past allegations of abuse towards women by Dr. Dre have been put in the spotlight.

The legendary producer has finally released a statement on the matter through the New York Times. Dre says there is no excuse for what he did back then, and that as a married man for 19 years, he’s working towards becoming a better person every day. Apple also released a statement on the matter, saying that they believe Dr. Dre is a changed man and is sincere in his apology.

“Twenty-five years ago I was a young man drinking too much and in over my head with no real structure in my life. “However, none of this is an excuse for what I did. I’ve been married for 19 years and every day I’m working to be a better man for my family, seeking guidance along the way. I’m doing everything I can so I never resemble that man again. I apologize to the women I’ve hurt. I deeply regret what I did and know that it has forever impacted all of our lives.”
