With all the hit songs Tshego has under his belt mostly for the SA Hip Hop culture, the Pink Panther chanter said that he has not been appreciated enough for him to keep focusing on releasing Hip Hop music or to have his mind focusing on the rap culture.
Turning to Instagram, the renowned rapper directly responded to a fan’s request for him to prioritize creating hip-hop music. Tshego’s reply unmistakably conveyed his disassociation from the culture, asserting that it hasn’t sufficiently acknowledged him.
“Today I got a DM from someone saying ‘yo Tshego focus on hip-hop,’ Me? Come on now, me? I’ve given the culture of hip-hop so many classics, The Vibe, Hennessy we can keep going and I’ve never been recognised,” he said.
“SA Hip Hop Awards invited me to come and present an award and I came. I came only to say what I’m only saying now on stage. You guys dont recognise me, that’s crazy as much as I’ve done for this culture, you dont wanna give me a nomination? Thats insane. So me? You want me to focus on hip hop?” Tshego scoffs.
