With the build-up to his forthcoming album titled Solomon, Cassper Nyovest unpacked some of the things his fans should look forward to. In an interview with fellow rapper L-Tido, Mufasa was asked to elaborate on what he meant when he made a reference to Nhlanhla Lux.

“Another stand-out song as well I think it’s track 3, stand out, stand out record, you said interesting things on that song. You made a reference on the song, to quote you, you said; [“you telling lies, you sound like Nhlanhla Lux.] I need you to elaborate on this, L-Tido” said.

In response; Cassper said the line was motivated by the events that unfolded when Nhlanhla Lux’s Pimville home was bombed. “I wrote that a week after the bombing story when they were like 10 past 4 so like that’s why I came up with that line. Like these guys (rappers) are telling lies, most of the time these rappers are telling lies. These artists are telling lies, so for me, it was funny,” he said.

“I think he might take offence to it, I might as well take a political attack, but like its cool man. Im having fun. This album has a lot of jokes, like who’s gonna say these things, I’m not scared of anybody, I’m just gonna talk the talk, there’s nothing they can do to me, I’m that guy,” a buoyed-up Cassper added.
