Nasty C Features On YouTube’s 2024 FIFTY DEEP Music Class. To commemorate 50 years of Hip Hop, YouTube initiated the FIFTY DEEP campaign, paying tribute to the luminaries who have shaped Hip Hop culture. This expansive initiative showcases 2,000 videos across a range of YouTube Music playlists and incorporates special features across Google platforms.

SA Hip Hop has also been a massive contributor to the Hip Hop culture in the genre’s 50 years and artists like Nasty C have strived to raise the South African flag high. The 27-year-old rapper has also been included among the iconic black artists that have kept hip-hop striving over the last 50 years.

Taking to Instagram, the Hell Naw hitmaker expressed his gratitude to YouTube for recognising his work and influence on the Hip Hop culture. “Big Shoutout to @YouTubeMusic for making me part of the 2024 FIFTY DEEP Music class, highlighting iconic Black musicians from around the world! #FIFTYDEEP#YouTubeBlack#OurFlowisForever,” wrote Nasty C.

In the spirit of celebrating black artists who have impacted the Hip Hop culture, YouTube did the honours of introducing the FIFTY Deep Music Class with various black artists such as Maiya The Don, Australian rapper B Wise, Cristaleyy, and Yan Cloud amongst others.

“Introducing the 2024 FIFTY DEEP Music class, a group of iconic Black musicians that will keep hip-hop thriving for the next fifty years, and beyond. Because our flow is forever.” Read the post.

Tuma Basa, YouTube’s Director of Black Music and Culture, recognized the diverse contributions of artists and cultures to Hip Hop. He specifically highlighted South African rappers Cassper Nyovest and Nasty C for their significant impact on African Hip Hop culture.

“I also want to give respect to the late Sidhu Moose Wala of India for his unique sound. We see hip hop artists from places like Turkey, Germany, France, Korea, Canada, Brazil, and so many more around the world sharing their take on the music and climbing the charts everywhere. I also can’t talk about the world and not mention Africa – shout out to Cassper Nyovest and Nasty C in South Africa.” He said as per Music In Africa publication.
