“The best female rappers compete with males. It’s beyond gender” Says Gigi Lamayne

Multiple award winner Gigi Lamayne was not interested in being nominated in the Best Female  category at the SA Hip Hop Awards this year. This is a category that she has won two times in a row but Gigi decided not to be nominated in that category because she doesn’t want to be labeled a female rapper but simply a rapper.

“I need you guys to understand that the best female rappers compete with males. It’s beyond gender” said Gigi. Miss Lamayne is definitely at a level where she can compete with the best rappers in the game and it’s clear that she is tired of being confined to the female category.
