Are Riky Rick And Tumi Beefing?
After listening to King Tumi’s Too Long we realized the Motif boss was firing shots at Boss Zonke who used to be signed to. After Family Values went Gold there was talk about beef between the two rappers but we saw Riky hooking up his old boss with a plaque as a token of appreciation for all he had taught him.
When Le Mpitse dropped we thought maybe Riky was firing shots at AKA but later realised it’s Tumi when he says, “I paid you your money I thought we were through.” Riky goes on to say, “we drop more albums than your whole label, y’all niggas lazy.”
“And silly rappers wanna flex with the belt/ but your whole style bitten you just playing who said it best.” Tumi is basically saying that Riky’s swag, rap style, music videos and cadence is bitten from American rappers which is a response to Riky’s verse on Le Mpitse where he says, “your video look like a GoPro, mina I only do art.”
