S.A Hip Hop Albums To Watch Out For In 2016: Part 2

2015 was an incredible year for SA Hip Hop and SA music in general. We saw plenty groundbreaking moves being made by artists such as Cassper Nyovest’s Fill Up The Dome concert, Cassper doing the Tim Westwood Crib Session Freestyle, AKA being the first ever SA artist to do the Tim Westwood Crib Session Freestyle, AKA getting BET, MOBO, AFRIMA nominations, K.O getting featured in The Source, K.O doing the legendary Tim Westwood Crib Session Freestyle and so much more. 2016 is looking like a bigger year for Hip Hop so we decided to compile a list of the S.A Hip Hop Albums to watch out for in 2016:

6. Maggz

We have been seeing Maggz on our T.V screens for a very long time now and he is one of the greatest writers coming out of SA without a doubt. The Cashtime soldier is also releasing his debut album sometime this year even thought the release date hasn’t been announced.

7. K.O

K.O dark

Mr Cashtime released his debut album titled Skhanda Republic in 2014 and the album is certified platinum today. We saw K.O releasing several quality hit singles from the album through out 2015. Mr Cashtime is now ready to release his sophomore album this year and is probably going to do saw in the last quarter of the year.

8. Tumi

King Tumi made his return to the scene last year when he dropped his surprise album titled Return Of The King which was well received by the fans. The Poet MC also dropped a collaborative album with a French collective called the Chinese Man which means Tumi dropped 2 albums in one year. Tumi announced that he would be releasing 2 more albums this year and we can’t wait to see what he will have for us.

9. Blayze

The Supa Boss Nova has been dropping hits on our T.V screens since 2012 and has not stopped since. The muscular rapper told us 2016 will be his year and after the release of his smash hit Super Boss Nova I’m confident the hommie’s album is going to be huge.

10. Nasty C

Nasty C is an 18 year old rapper from Durban who blew up after releasing his Price City mixtape which put him on. The rapper is a lyricist which puts him under pressure to release a full length album this year. We can’t wait to see what hommie has instore for us.
