Priddy Ugly Opens Up About Overcoming Difficult Times. Priddy Ugly has been able to accept responsibility for his crushing loss to fellow rapper Cassper Nyovest and learn from it.
The father of one was defeated by Nyovest at the Celeb City 2 boxing exhibition last week at the SunBet arena in Pretoria. Nyovest defeated Ugly by a knockout in the first two minutes of the fight. Taking to Instagram, Priddy Ugly appeared to be not taking the defeat very well as opened up about overcoming the difficult times in his life.
“If you knew what we had to overcome these last few months just to be able to stand today, you’d never doubt God’s existence and mercy,” he wrote in a caption to a series of photos of himself. “I’m allowed to be flawed, and I get to rest without guilt. It feels great; I’m feeling blessed and grateful for life.” He wrote.
The rapper stated that for the first time in his life, he did not feel pressure to be immortal, outperform anyone or over-deliver like an untouchable character in an anime series. “I get to be human, but still a hero to my daughter and a champion to my family,” he continued in the caption. “PS: It’s okay to laugh when you see me; let’s laugh together – stop being so serious. Life is beautiful.”
Priddy Ugly said that when he took the pictures, he had just left the hospital and was headed directly to the @betafrica cypher. “I just come out of hospital straight to the @bet_africa cypher when we took these images, ill!” he added.
Following the boxing match defeat, Priddy Ugly was at the receiving end of criticism with most people pinning their hopes on him to defeat Cassper Nyovest for the second time in a row.
