New Release: Zakwe – Yesterday [ft Zola & Zuluboy]
SA Hip Hop has grown in the craziest way but the lyricists aren’t too happy with the music that’s getting the shine. A lot of the rappers are using similar beats and focusing more on their melodies, hooks and backings.
Zakwe is one rapper who has stayed true to the art and more importantly has managed to remain relevant because there is no other Zakwe.The homie new record is titled Yesterday and it feature’s Zola and Zuluboy.
Yesterday has really dope soulful beat which reminds me of Kanye’s soulful samples from the mid 2000’s. This song was crafted to perfection and there is not a part of the song you would wish was done differently.
