“SA Rappers who own record labels must learn from Dr. Dre” Says Rashid

SA rappers who own labels can learn a thing or two from Dr Dre. We all know the names. We’ve heard them time and time again. But what most people don’t know is just how they failed before they succeeded. The general consensus of success in the arts, entertainment, or business doesn’t take into account personal struggles. All we see are the personification of that success through whatever outlet we happen to come by it.

SA Hip Hop veteran Rashid has noticed a pattern that artists ran labels seem to have. The genre has reached a stage where it’s making a lot of money and a lot more artists are having their own record labels and running a label has its own challenges. No matter how successful you its best you learn from those who have done it best.

“SA Rappers who own record labels must learn from Dr. Dre that u don’t have to be the centre of attention or the main artist in ur own label” said Rashid. “How are you a CEO of your own record label and then compete with your own artist?” asked a puzzled Rashid.
