Taking to Instagram, Bravo celebrated his birthday which comes at the perfect time as he enjoys the success of his musical career. “Iminyaka imnkile. Ndihambile, ndibonile Ndifundile, ndikhululile. Enkosi, bawo.” Wrote Bravo Le Roux.
“Idyan ayizalwa, ithi GQI! Happy birthday to the greatest warrior my generation will ever see, you’re a one of one & it’s all because of the blood you carry. Thank you for finding & loving your purpose, you are blessed because you are a blessing – Sinesipho ngawe. Makwande.” He added.
Bravo Le Roux is not claiming all of the credit for the success of his work; rather, he appreciates the assistance he received from fellow rappers, particularly Sjava. Bravo told TimesLive that Sjava instructed him to rap in his native Xhosa language and told him how significant he is in the SA music business.
“It’s crazy because years ago I would rap in multiple languages and Sjava advised me to stick to isiXhosa. I thought he said that because he did not like my music.
“Years later, we met again in Johannesburg and before I could introduce myself he started rapping my verse from Greek’s song, Rhulumente (the remix). He then assured me I was important for the South African music industry and asked me to feature him in my album.” He said.
