The American music video director and rapper, Tyler The Creator was born Tyler Gregory Okonma on 6th March 1991 in Ladera Heights, California to a Nigerian father and a African-American mother. At the age of 14, he taught himself to play the piano. He worked at FedEx for just under two weeks, and Starbucks for over two years. He rose to prominence as the leader and co-founder of the alternative hip hop collective Odd Future. He won the Best New Artist at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards and also started his own clothing company called Golf Wang. There is no doubt that the 25-years-old music video director and rapper is definitely a name to be reckon with in the music industry.

3. In his 12 years of schooling, he attended 12 different schools in the Los Angeles and Sacramento areas.

4. He worked at FedEx for just under two weeks, and Starbucks for over two years.

5. He rose to prominence as the leader and co-founder of the alternative hip hop collective Odd Future.

6. He signed a joint venture deal for him and his label Odd future Records, Sony Music Entertainment and RED Distribution.
