“Is free higher education possible & sustainable in our country?” asks AKA after watching videos of what’s been going on at Wits. The Supa Mega is one artist who often talks about why reading is important and when it comes to social he proves to be well versed.
There has been a fight going on between higher education institutions and their students because a lot of the students of colour are forced to drop out of college simply because their parents can not afford to put them through varsity.
The #FeesMustFall campaign has spilt over into 2016 and the kids are clearly not going to let the government walk all over them. Students are now fighting for free education which is something that I assume to not be sustainable because of how unstable our economy is.
“Is free higher education possible & sustainable in our country?? Surely there are economists/politicians/leaders etc who know the answer” asked AKA. “Ok shap …. So if there is a plan to give the kids free education …. What’s the fuckin’ issue???? WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR? Kids to die” he asked.
