Cardi B Explains What She Meant When She Said She Paved A Way For Female Rappers. American rapper Cardi B claimed on a tweet last night that she paved a way for female rappers. When she received backlash from those who disagreed with her, she came forward to clarify what she meant.

She denied saying she paved the way. She did however claim that she gave the hood and women hope for all that she has achieved. She said that she is the reason female rappers were no longer shelved on record labels.

“I didn’t say I pave the way for female rappers but I deff gave the hood and women hope.Nikkas wasn’t collabing with females rappers.Labels where signing female rappers and putting them in a shelf and not focusing on them.Not giving them proper attention,” she wrote.

Adding to the above statement she said she broke the norm of male rappers refusing to collaborate with female rappers.

“It seem like it was impossible for it to be more then one female rapper.These male rappers where not even takin Money from female rappers for a feature cause it seem far fetch for another woman to make it.I see so many male artists collabing wit females now even.”
