Chance The Rapper stars in a film to be premiered in the second half of 2017

Chance the Rapper secretly shot the whole damn film in Chicago over the summer. Luckily, he’s now ready to let us all know about it. Slice is set for release in the second half of 2017, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The film was written by Austin Vesely, a frequent director of Savemoney artists’ visuals.

Slice centers on a so-called outlaw in a “mysterious city” who finds himself framed for a series of murders targeting pizza delivery dudes. Speaking on the project back in 2015, Vesely told Red Eye Chicago the concept initially started out as a short film. “At some point I became interested in developing the idea into a bigger world,” Vesely explained. “There was a lot of stuff in the short script I thought could be expanded upon in an interesting way.

I just developed a feature-length script over the last year and a half/two years.”
