The Artist 100 measures artist activity across Billboard’s most influential charts, including the Billboard Hot 100, Top Album Sales and the Social 50. The Artist 100 (which launched in July 2014) blends data measuring album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.

Drake returns to the summit for a 23rd week in charge, the most time at No. 1 for a male artist and second overall only to Taylor Swift’s 31 weeks. (He’d last led the Sept. 24-dated chart.) Drake dominates despite a 1 percent dip in overall activity. As previously reported, he reaches the Hot 100’s top 10 with “Fake Love,” from the More Life project, expected in December.
