The innovators of rap-jazz take the iconic stage at Rockefeller Plaza for the Nov. 12 episode of SNL. A Tribe Called Quest was booked for the highly anticipated show, serving as the musical guest and we need a minute to recover from their powerful performance of “We The People.”

The hip-hop group had the crowd on their feet while slaying the politically-charged lyrics, which came straight from their sixth and FINAL album We Got It from Here… Thank You 4 Your Service. They were definitely standing up for our rights, after Donald Trump‘s shocking election and prior statements. They sang, “All you Black folks, you must go, All you Mexicans, you must go, Muslims and gays, boy, we hate your ways, So all you bad folks, go.”

The hip-hop group’s new 16-song album, which dropped Nov. 11, features their iconic brand of conscious hip-hop. Artists as diverse as Elton John, André 3000, and Kendrick Lamar collaborated with the group for an evolved sound and style like never before. Ironically enough, the last single called “The Donald” has picking up interest, especially after a week where many struggled to accept his victory.
