Drake tops Spotify’s 2016 streams ‘’ One Dance’’. Drake is undoubtedly on of the biggest musician in the world so far. Canadian rap superstar Drake has been named as Spotify’s most streamed artist for the second year in a row after he racked up a staggering 4.7 billion streams for his album and chart-topping single One Dance. ‘’One Dance’’ alone was streamed 960 million times, making it Spotify’s most streamed song ever. Played consecutively, that would take more than 5,200 years.
His album, Views, was also the most streamed album of the past year despite it being made available only on rival Apple Music for the first two weeks of release. Overall he more than doubled his total of 1.8 billion streams in 2015. Drake was followed by fellow Canadian star Justin Bieber with Rihanna coming in third place, making her the most streamed female artist of the past year.
