“You can buy plaques but not respect,” YoungstaCPT Echoes On Speculations That Artists Actually Buy Plaques. Award winning rapper YoungstaCPT counts as one of a few artists in SA Hip Hop who portray themselves as genuinely as they can. The rapper doesn’t only spread awareness but is always focused on teaching respect and promoting humanity.

The Cape Town based rapper dropped an album early of 2019 titled 3T, it earned him two awards at the SA Hip Hop Awards 2020, an international nomination at the Afrimmas and an additional nomination at the SA music awards. What the album hasn’t reached is a plaque status despite the top charting singles it contains.

Sharing an image where he was giving and receiving love from one of his old fans, the Yaatie rapper expressed that fellow stars can buy plaques but respect and love they can never put a price on.

His tweet implied that artists who keep accumulating Plaques actually buy them. Echoing to views rapper Cruz Africa shared of rappers faking their successes.

“All this fake Ass SA rappers need to start being real, niggaz they outta here lying too much about their achievements the Gold /plag,i mean we black people – we need generation of wealth ,they should stop misleading this young artists,No cap,” they wrote.

Wha this evokes is a wonder of how legitimate the attainment of plaques is, also posing even more question on success being treated like a sale.
