Within this dynamic realm, Tyson Sybateli, an emerging figure in the South African hip-hop scene, has been generating substantial buzz. His album, titled “Home,” has successfully cultivated a growing and dedicated fan base.

In his quest to keep on delivering good music to his listeners, the rapper dropped a mixtape hosted by The Sobering Podcast. Addressing the audience at the unveiling of the project, Tyson provided insight into his decision to pursue a mixtape instead of releasing another album.

The rapper Durban-born rapper said that creating a mixtape gave him room to experiment before dropping an album. He alluded that he wanted to have a different experience and have fun before dropping another album.

The album release from comparison and it like got this album experience. I expect this same experience or more different with the next #$– and it sets the expectation very high and I don’t want that, I want this to feel like fun and I want to enjoy myself you know, I enjoy the process.” He said.

And I also want people to feel this when they hear it tomorrow right..so going through this was more so how um how do I do on radio before going into another album again, you know give something. Give myself room to experiment and give myself room to have fun and nothing displays more skill and more creativity and fun than like a mixtape cause you treat it the same. A mixtape is always before an album it’s treated like your weak area or builds up hype for the project anyway,” Tyson Sybateli added.

To commemorate 50 years of hip-hop culture, Tyson expressed that his mixtape serves as a heartfelt gift to his dedicated fanbase. The artist emphasized that this project aims to strengthen the connection between him and his supporters, all in the pursuit of crafting exceptional music.

“The way music is for me right now is doing what makes me happy during the process, not what’s working in the climate. Putting what I love forward every time is why we progress and it’s why I’m honoured to have your support me every time. Celebrating Hip-Hop with a mixtape and giving CDs to my fans for free is what I’m on.

“Really hope you enjoy the mixtape this Friday. I’m not about to say this will bring you closer to me and all that crap they use to sell fake personal projects when it’s just good songs for the moment for my people to vibe to #present.” He wrote.
