Sjava Conveys Gratitude After Receiving Plaques For The “Isibuko” Album. Sjava released the Isibuko album that demonstrated the power that Africa has when it comes to telling its story through music.

The rapper shook the airwaves when he dropped the album in January and the streaming numbers have been plummeting ever since. Sjava has been one of the most sought-after artists in South Africa ever since he dropped his body of work.

Following a busy weekend with a slew of lined-up shows, Sjava took to Twitter and appreciated everyone who made it possible for him to get through the busy weekend schedule. In the wake of that, the rapper was graced with the plaques for his Isibuko album.

Sjava’s body of work has proved to have received a good reception after it managed to surpass 20 million streams in less than a month of release. The album also carries some songs that have been well-received amongst the Sjava’s fanbase.

‘Isoka’ garnered 2.4 million streams and went platinum. “Amavaka”  “Grounding,” “Thixo,” “Kube Ngakazi,” and “Amakhehla” all achieved gold status after receiving more than 1.2 million streams combined. Coming from the success with the Isibuko album, Sjava is set to rock the airwaves for the second time this year with a joint album with Big Zulu. The album is set to drop on the 12th of May 2023.
