A Reece Shares How Being Broke AF Motivated Him To Make A Success Of His Career in an interview with a local publication. The rapper who is currently one of the hottest young rappers in SA recently won the best lyricist award at the SA Hip Hop Awards last year.
Speaking on what drove him to make his music career a success the rapper said ““But I was just looking at the bigger picture, man. And the circumstances around me influenced that, being broke as fuck, having to live in a house where there’s no lights for a good two weeks, having your mom and dad not really getting along like that, having your pops not having a job and always at the crib. All of dat. So it’s like ‘Yo man, I know for a definite fact that I can make money off of this shit’ so I took initiative and put the first foot in.”
The rapper added on to speak about how he takes offense at rappers who make it seem like they came from disadvantages backgrounds yet some had proper support systems and sometimes rich families that supported them through out.
