He also spoke about how he has managed to fill most of the venues that would be used to open for these acts and he sees very little benefit from opening for an American artist in South Africa.
Cassper went on to say that he believes that the true value will be drawn from collaborations and opportunities to push South African music to a global audience through international acts that visit South Africa.
Considering Cassper Nyovest is a very established artist and no doubt one of the biggest if not the biggest in Africa at the moment, this isn’t too far from the truth. It’s almost fair to say many international artists should consider themselves lucky to have SA top rappers such as Cassper and AKA open for them in South Africa as they have way more influence than foreign acts!
