Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” Certified 33X Platinum
The legendary MJ is not letting a small set back like death slow him down from breaking records. Micheal Jackson has been dead for about eight years now but it’s crazy how people are still going out and buying his music.
The Recording Industry of America (RIAA), the Estate of Michael Jackson, Epic Records and Legacy Recordings emphatically announced today that the King of Pop‘s monster album, Thriller, became the “ONLY” album ever to have surpassed the RIAA’s 30x million mark in U.S. sales and more than 105 million copies sold worldwide.
Most people would have thought the “This Is It” tour would have been the final chapter in the icon’s illustrious career, low and behold his albums have become an annual tradition amongst his generations of loyal fans reportedly purchasing his albums every year. Despite his untimely passing his legacy seems to have out-lived him.
With his daughter (who’s caucasian) making headlines identifying as a black woman, it seems the magazines and tabloids still wont let the King of Pop rest in peace, either way his old music pushes more milestones than the rumours and scandal. Long Live The King.
