His relations with other DJs in the music space has been nothing but rosy. Following a Twitter conversation, DJ Jawz showed his appreciation to DJ Zan-D’s playlist whereby he combined one of the best genres in the country Hip hop and Amapiano. The DJ was also pleased that his peer is appreciating local sound than giving much airplay to American music.

“I love the fact that we now blaze more SA Hip hop than American especially new joints. We just need more. I like mzonkonko kwaito / amapiano influenced kind’a rap over trap but then again i enjoy Trap when played by other DJs, not me.” Tweeted DJ Jawz.

In one of his interviews, DJ Jawz has made clear that he is determined to see local music blossom and his aim is to bring change in people’s lives using art. “The whole idea is to speak to people’s hearts with this song. We want to bring change in people’s lives using art,” said Jawz.

The DJ has also revealed that he was inspired by DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Christos, Oskido, Bob Mabhena, Fistaz, Fat Joe and DJ Fresh. “They made me love good sounds that’s the reason I make and play good sounds,” he said.
