Black Coffee Talks About How His Beef With AKA Started

In an exclusive interview with Phat Joe recently,  Black Coffee opened up about where his beef with AKA started. After talking about his Italian collaboration, Black Coffee spoke about what exactly went down with the AKA beef.

A video of Black Coffee issuing a dirty slap to AKA’s road manager, Tshiamo Letshwene went viral online as fans and celebrities took to social media to comment and poke fun at the incident using several trending hashtags.

Then AKA’s team issued a statement following the incident where they labelled Black Coffee’s actions as ” ignorant, distasteful and not of someone level headed or mature”.

AKA also followed  with a thumb-thugging rant where he accused Black Coffee and his team of barging on stage while AKA’s team was readying to perform at the 2016 Dstv iRock Festival in Polokwane.

Black Coffee has decided to speak about where his beef with the rapper started once and for all. In the interview, he said;

” It’s very important for people to know that we are human. Sometimes we get clouded with the fact that we do what we do. And we quiet. It’s very important for people to understand that in every person there’s going to be the good and there’s also going to be the bad. ”

” My beef with AKA started when I won a Channel O award where he tweeted ‘Give Black Coffee a hand’. You must know that at the time, I didn’t know the guy. So, that’s where it started for me. ”

” The following day, I looked for him, I called and spoke to him and said dude, ” is there a problem? Me and you don’t know each other, Why would you say that?”. Then AKA said, ” no,  it was taken out of context. I didn’t mean it like that” . So I said alright, that’s cool”.

” I think two weeks later he mentioned he was so dope that even Black Coffee clapped for him”
