The show has already aired its second episode and it has been getting a decent viewership as of late. Prior to the premier of the show, J Molley dropped a bombshell on his peer rappers with whom he is on the show.

The Seven Bottles chanter vehemently said that most people on the show do not deserve to be there. He stated that the show has a lot of fake people and in defence of his remarks he made it clear that he is not trying to be cheeky, but he is actually a down-to-earth and humble person.

“I think a lot of people don’t belong in this show hip hop, especially fake as* you know. I don’t believe in fake as*, what I do is I rock real designer. Im not trying to be cocky man, Im really a down-to-earth humble person,” he said.

Rappers like Da L.E.S hailed the show Love & Hip Hop, claiming that it provides a platform for SA Hip Hop and allows rappers like him to share their understanding of the industry. 

“The state of South African hip hop is beautiful and this platform will allow me to share my knowledge on the industry,” Da L.E.S said as per TimesLive.

“We have a very rich African hip hop culture and I am looking forward to offering my space and showing the trials and tribulations I’ve been through in the industry. Love & Hip Hop SA is the best place to do it.”
