Nomuzi has faced criticism for identifying herself as the new age Brenda Fassie. Whilst some understand why, a few have criticized the rapper for not having an identity of her own therefore ‘impersonating’ MaBrr. Nomuzi clarifies the whole Brenda Fassie situation.
The topic came up again as people celebrated the legend on the day she passed away thirteen years ago. Nomuzi had her clap backs ready and here’s where she stands.
“She’s simply inspired by the legend. No one has ever compared me to her. I am just obsessed with HER!! Her attitude, her style, her music… it’s just love really,” Nomuzi tweeted.
