The Rise Of Brooklyn Rapper, Desiigner

We decided to take a look at the rise of Brooklyn rapper, Desiigner who predominately rose to fame after the release of his debut single “Panda”, which later reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100. The single became the national anthem marked by its catchy beat by Menace. In February 2016, rapper and producer Kanye West (who sampled “Panda” for his seventh album The Life of Pablo), announced Desiigner’s signing to his GOOD Music imprint, under the aegis of Def Jam Recordings.

Desiigner continues to rise even though his enemies pain stake him to be ‘’one hit wonder’’. On May 24, Desiigner announced the title of his debut album to be The Life of Desiigner. In June 2016, XXL magazine revealed their annual “Freshmen Class” for 2016, and Desiigner was included on the list with nine other new artists. In June 2016.

Desiigner made a guest appearance on this track, also performed by his label-mate Kanye West, along with the other American rappers such as Gucci Mane, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Travis Scott, Yo Gotti, and Quavo. In the same month, Desiigner made his US television debut, when he performed his single “Panda” at the 2016’s BET Awards.

Desiigner is frequently compared to Future regarding their sound- alike voices. His musical style is influenced by southern hip hop, trap music which originated in Atlanta, Georgia. His rapping technique and vocals style won him fans universally, although he was under hot water since he was assumed to be a copycat. This year around June, he premiered “Tiimmy Turner”, which was released as a single on iTunes.
