Kendrick lamar Wins Big At this year’s VMA’s as he left the award show with a total of 6 gongs! Kendrick Lamar has come out on top at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards, taking home the most trophies of any other artist nominated by far.

The chart-topping hip-hop star collected half a dozen prizes at this year’s ceremony, including the biggest award of the night, Video of the Year, for the visual that accompanies his first solo No. 1 hit“HUMBLE.”

It doesn’t come as much of a shock that Lamar ended up being the big winner of the evening, as he earned the most nominations when they were announced last month (he was up for eight).

Before tonight, only one of Lamar’s clips had ever been named the winner, and that was just two years ago.
