AKA Quickly Fact Checks Reason On Who The First English Rapper To Win Best Rap At The SAMAs Was! Reason is sticking to his promise of being involved a lot on twitter this year but it looks like he needs to take a break already.

Reason is hoping his album Azania wins Best Rap at the SAMAs but if he’s going to use previous wins as examples on how he can possibly take it, he might need to have his facts right.

Reason was under the impression that Shane won the Award first as an English rapper only for AKA to correct him because it indeed was Bhovha.

“Confession: I always used to believe that the @TheSAMAs for Best Rap always went to Vernec rappers, until @shane_eagle won last year,” Reason said on twitter. 

“But fam.  I won that award in 2012 already”  AKA responded to Reason’s tweet.  And yes, he is right.  He won that award in 2012 and he doesn’t rap in Vernec.
