Siyathandana might have grabbed much attention when it was released, but there is a story behind its release and the mishaps it encountered along the way. During an interview on Everything SA Music Podcast, Abidoza revealed how the song was first received and the moves they took leading it to become an Amapiano hit.

“So, me I believed in the song before it dropped”, said Abidoza. He further explained why the song was not released on the planned date and what they did for people to enjoy it. “There was a plan that it was gonna drop at this time, actually I don’t think we knew when it was supposed to drop.”

Abidoza went on and revealed how he engaged with DJs to play the song at their gigs so that it reaches a wider audience because he had noticed that people are bored. “Now the video is trending, people love the song but the people are bored, so I was like you know what, let’s give those ones, two DJs the song so they can play.” “I think I gave it to Durban Gogo, DJ Somebody and a few DJs, and then we dropped it.” He explained.
