K.O Weighs In On Why “Luck” Is The Key To Success In The Music Industry

While talent, hard work, and dedication are undoubtedly vital components, there’s one elusive factor that has long been a subject of debate – luck. In a candid conversation on The Sobering Podcast rap icon K.O, sheds light on the undeniable significance of luck in an artist’s journey to stardom.

“The thing about music and being an artist, yeah cool I would say you need ten per cent or let’s say 30 talent right? Then you need another twenty hard work now you got your fifty, another five per cent may be of timing, stars-aligning and sh*t. Then the remaining 45, luck my n**g, luck, simple,” K.O said.

For an aspiring musician, the concept of luck can be both inspiring and disheartening. While some might interpret it as an unpredictable force that cannot be controlled, K.O believes that artists can actively work towards creating their own luck. “You could have the best record out and be the most talented motherf***, have the best promo, luck is probably the dominating factor in this music sh*t bro, so sometimes you create your own luck,” he said.

K.O is on the verge of hosting his first-ever one-man show and he has promised his fans an unforgettable show at the Constitutional Hill in Joburg on the 29th of July 2023. “The upcoming concert is obviously the first of its kind. I’ve never done what I am about to do with this show and people have never seen me do a one-man concert,” he said.
