Hip Hop The Biggest Genre At The 2018 Grammy Awards! For a long time the Grammys have been skeptic about Hip Hop and its worth. Over the years we have seen Hip Hop artists receive more of these awards.
The Grammys which where held in New York City on the 28th of January. Hip Hop this yer was the biggest genre at the 2018 Grammy Awards with Jay Z and Kendrick Lamar getting the most nominations. Although Jay Z had the most nominations he walked away empty handed whilst Kendrick Lamar Dominated the Award ceremony.
Kendrick Lamar walked away with a smashing total of five Grammy awards to add to his evergrowing stack of awards. The rappers hit single “HUMBLE” saw him receive Best Music Video, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance. He also received Best Rap/Sung performance for “LOYALTY” and Best Rap Album for “DAMN”.
