Duncan Confirms He Is No Longer Part Of Sphethu Records After Being Blackmailed To Pay R90K

Duncan Confirms He Is No Longer Part Of Sphethu Records After Being Blackmailed To Pay R90K. Back in January 2020 reports circulated that rapper Duncan had a fallout with his label boss Ngane, it wasn’t until recently that Duncan confirmed the reports.

According to the Nkosi Sikelel’ rapper the issues he had with Ngane led to him losing his official Facebook page. The page is allegedly held hostage by the boss who ordered Duncan to pay a total of R90 000 to have access to it again.

“He kicked me out of the Facebook page and I only realised later in 2019,” said Duncan speaking to
“He then continued to take bookings on my behalf and requesting promoters to send him the deposit money. That is theft.”

Duncan went on to say that he reported the matter to Facebook but he has not yet been able to retrieve his page.

“You know Facebook takes forever to attend queries. I am avoiding going to open a case with the police. I just want my account back and we can go our separate ways,” he added.

In his defense said ; “I created the fan page and I had every right to deactivate it. It was a company fan page that I used to promote his work. I put time and money on the page getting him fans and boosting some posts using my money. So when we stopped working together; I deactivated it. He can create his own fan page.”

Ngane denied asking Duncan for R90k for the page.
“He doesn’t have R90 000, why would I ask him for money he doesn’t have,” he said.

“Duncan must stop playing games on social media, he is an old man now. He just needs to get into the studio and make a killer hit. It’s 2020, he needs to focus or he will blink and it will be November if he wastes his energy on negativity. I wish him all the best,” Ngane added.
