Loyiso Bala Disagrees With Cassper Nyovest Says AKA’s performance was the best of the night a clear reaction to some of the backlash AKA received for using autotune. Cassper had earlier called AKA’s performance very very pap but its clear Loyiso Bala disagrees.
Whilst some AKA fans and critics were not too ecstatic about the use of autotune which they cited as an overuse it’s clear some renowned musicians like Loyiso Bala felt otherwise.
Loyiso is generally known as one of the best musical vocalists to come out of South Africa. He won his first South African Music Awards since 2010, his third SAMA since his first in 1999 which he won the award for Best Faith Album for his release Power Love Sound. Loyiso has since then won multiple awards including 3 Metro FM awards (amongst which Best R&B album of 2007), 5 SA Music Awards (SAMAs), including Best R&B and Best Producer in 2008, and nominations for best song of 2009 and 2010 for ‘Blow Your Mind’ and ‘Maybe’. He was also nominated at the MTV awards alongside Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Akon and P Square, and has received numerous style awards, amongst which “YOU” Magazine and GQ’s most stylish male in the country.
AKA fans will now find peace in the fact that not everyone was disappointed with the performance. In a detailed tweet Loyiso called AKA a ”Great performer, mega talented rapper and undeniable superstar quality”.
