Rashid Responds To Zingah After Dismissing MT’s Claims That K.O Stole The Skhanda Concept. K.O has been the master of his own success following the dominance of his Skhanda rap after the Teargas era. Rashid Responds To Zingah After Dismissing MT’s Claims That K.O Stole The Skhanda Concept

Speaking in a podcast interview shared by a Twitter handle @thisiscolbert, MT revealed the origin of the Skhanda stating that K.O stole the concept. “The issue of Skhanda, he (K.O) stole the concept and ran with it,” he said. “In the podcast, Rashid has talked about it, and Sizwe Dhlomo attested to that and they are witnesses. You cant manipulate history, if people know history as it is, you can come and you can’t lie to people because there are witnesses they will tell you we were there,” MT added.

Zingah, who worked with K.O and has high regard for him, refuted MT’s claims that K.O stole the Skhanda concept. “This guy thinks K.O was listening to him?! 🤣😂🤣😂 yea right,” Zingah tweeted. In response, Rashid Kay cleared the air by explaining the role MT played in Skhanda’s rise to fame during the Siz and Scoop era.

Rashid said that MT pushed Skhanda in 2010 way before K.O discovered it. The SA Hip-hop veteran added that K.O’s CashTime was formed through the help of Sizwe Dhlomo during that time as well. “MT was a legend on Siz n Scoop and was already pushing Skhanda Rap around 2010. CashTime was formed through the “Full Clip” with the help of @SizweDhlomo The name Emtee is arguable cos it comes from “Mthembeni.” Tweeted Rashid.

In a bid to give clarity, Rashid said that MT is not the one who came up with the word Skhanda. Rather he is the first one to use it in a sub-genre context. “He didn’t originate the word but he was the first to use the word “Skhanda” in a rap sub-genre context. Nobody said he originated the word.” He added in another tweet.
