Kid X Shares Thoughts On Lyricism Vs Sound Debate
Kid X Shares Thoughts On Lyricism Vs Sound Debate! SA Hip Hop is going through the same thing that Hip Hop went through in America just before Trap took over. Lyricism is something that is greatly valued by SA Hip Hop fans, especially those who have followed it from a time were there was no trap movement.
In recent times we have seen this change with artists like Emtee and Saudi gaining recognition for their different trap sounds. Kid X was asked what he thought of the longstanding debate on lyricism Versus Sound and he responded saying that artists should be able to make what they want.
“I think artists should make whatever they wish to make. We cannot police art and dictate how artists should express themselves,” tweeted Kid X responding to the question on sound and lyricism.
