Cassper Explains He Doesn’t Need To Have #1 Songs To Prove He Has Changed The Game. In all of his music career Cassper Nyovest has never had a song make it to the number one spot on charts but he has become one of the biggest stars in SA Hip hop.
On a recent tweet the rapper said that he does not need to make it to number one on charts because his success speaks volumes, basically the rapper feels no chart can best determine his abilities and achievements.
“Never had a number 1 song in my life but you know the history ive made. Don’t need to pull out stats and numbers. You know what my name means to african music in general. Go read about me,” wrote Cassper.
One of his followers who asked the question of topping the charts also raised a point that SA hip hop has become more of a race about money than it is about making good music.
“You’ve done great things for hiphop in the past. Your catalog is as great. But if we look at the current state of rap it not as impressive as when ur 1st or sec album came out. There are no front runners, radio killers, chart toppers now. SA Rap is abt who got more money now,” wrote his follower.
