Rouge’s New Era Sessions Bags SAFTA Award! Earlier this year Rouge announced that she had been nominated for a SAFTA award for her New Era Sessions short film.
Rouges film is part of the concept that goes with her debut album that is also titled New Era Sessions. The rapper was handed her first ever SAFTA award yesterday becoming the first female rapper in SA Hip Hop history to walk away with an award at the prestigious film and Tele-Vision award ceremony.
The rapper shared her amazement on social media expressing how much she was honored to win the award. This alone shows how much of an impact Hip Hop is having in different spaces in the entertainment industry. Rouge has now made the New Era Sessions film available on YouTube for her fans.
