Proverb Explains Why He'll Probably Never Rap In Setswana

Proverb Explains Why He’ll Probably Never Rap In Setswana! In recent times, we have seen a lot of  artists  like Anatii make music in their indigenous languages to better relate to the people and as part of embracing their African identities.

Proverb was recently asked a question on how far he was going to embrace his Setswana identity comparing the rapper to HHP. “I write about ‘language’, ‘identity’, etc. and I go to the USA every March to talk about them; in ’18, I was in Minnesota talking about Motswako I’ve always wondered about the extent to which you plan to embrace your Setswana identity thro music?,” tweeted the fan.

The rapper responde to the question saying that he just hadn’t mastered rapping in Setswana. “If you’re asking am I ever going to rap in Setswana the answer is probably not. There are many who have mastered it and it has nothing to do with my identity,” read Proverbs response which clearly showed that he hadn’t caught offence.
