Die Mondez Reveals He Doesn’t Write His Own Music. Rapper Die Mondez recently dropped his second solo project, In the Trap, which has been well received by his supporters. Die Mondez is best known for his respective collaborative albums, with popular producers Zooci Coke Dope and Flvme. The young artist has come a long in his career and is working with the best in the business and has created a solid offering that represents his talents.

It’s not every day in SA Hip Hop when an artist gets candid about not being behind the pen when it comes to their music. Rapper Die Mondez, however, has no issues with telling it like it is. Die Mondez made the revelation, that he doesn’t write after a fan paid him a compliment about his writing skills on Twitter. “SA should give @Die_Mondez his flowers man. Meezow’s pen is godly,” wrote the fan, instead of taking the compliment, Meezow responded and said, “that time I don’t even write”.

Some Twitter users, even thought Die Mondez was not telling the truth, after all, it’s not every day you hear rappers admitting to not writing their own music. SA Hip Hop producer and artist Flvme, even stepped into the comments and said defended his former collaborator and confirmed there are no lies in what Meezow is saying. Die Mondez even responded to Flvme and said people seem to think, he says things for the sake of saying it. “Lol niggas think we be saying shit for the sake of saying,” wrote the rapper. Another tweep even challenged the rapper to prove what he is saying by creating a song live on Instagram. It’s clear the tweep missed Die Mondez previous Instagram live, where he created the song Mazel Tov.

When it comes to the Hip Hop game an artist’s creative process does become a talking point, some artists have been accused of having ghostwriters, something most artists aren’t too fond of having to address. Award-winning SA Hip Hop artist Reason, not so long ago found his name floating around as being DJ Maphorisa’s ghostwriter for his popular verse on amapiano track, Izolo. DJ Maphorisa or Madumane as he is called when it comes to the rap game, delivered a fire verse on Izolo and it went and people began to speculate as to who exactly was behind the pen. Reason’s name became a high contender in the conversation. The Azania hitmaker did not deny or confirm these allegations but simply tweeted, “I don’t ghost write. I co-write.
