Nasty C has not only inspired young people but he has also been inspired by other prominent rappers who he has looked up to in order to become the complete rapper he is now. According to NOTA, the Durban-born rapper was inspired by the US rapper T.I, which he heavily chastised.

During an interview on Everything SA Music Podcast, NOTA rebuked Nasty C for being inspired by T.i rather than his own countryman Zola 7. “I hate the fact that Nasty says he is inspired by T.I, he’s not inspired by Zola?” asked NOTA.

NOTA went on to say that Zulu Boy is the reason Nasty C is now a well-known rapper because he gave him a platform to perform on. “Zulu Boy is the reason why he can have a stage to perform today and gig, South Africans are the ones who are paying him, everything he wears, these things, this is our money,” he said.

The music mogul felt that Nasty C is disrespecting his roots by making music for other people’s culture and not for South Africans. “He disrespect us, he makes music for other people’s ears, not ours but we’re the ones who got him where he is, who the f***ck is he, he must humble himself that small boy, life is long,” he rants.

Nasty C collaborated with T.I on the track “They Don’t.” The rappers speak out against racial injustices all throughout the world, including the continued police violence directed at black people for years.
