TDK Macassete Claims DJ Maphorisa Stole Her Song! Up and coming artist TDK Macassete who is a gqom artist recently accused DJ Mphorisa of stealing the hit single Iwalk Ye Phara from her.
Maphorisa can’t even make a gqom beat. How can he make a gqom song. Gqom is from Kwazulu Natal, where have you ever seen a gqom king from Pretoria?,” said the gqom artist speaking to Sunday Sun. She went on to say that “Maphorisa stole my song because he saw the hype that the song received.”
“Now he got a big deal because of my song. Why didn’t he get a big deal with Midnight Starring on any of his other songs?,” asked the TDK. DJ Maphorisa dropped a dance video for the song originally featuring TDK Macassete back in January which has since reached a million views on YouTube.
The producer went on to drop a different version on his Blaqboy Music EP featuring Zulu Mkhathini, K.O and Midnight Starring replacing the artists vocals.
