Upon release, the rapper broke all first day streaming records on across all platforms. The rapper is reported to have gotten over 170 million streams on iTunes on the day of release whilst racking 10 million streams on Spotify each hour. A lot of the Hip Hop fans were eager to hear what the rapper had to say after Pusha-T’s “The Story Of Adidon”.

The rapper served his fans with what is rated by most as his best work yet which is filled with a number of quotables, be it relationship related or just shots sent out to Pusha T. Check out some of Drizzy’s most quotable lyrics from “Scorpion” below.

Survival

“Niggas gamblin’ with they life for some content
That’s the type of lottery that could get your top picked,”

This was a line directed towards Pusha-T after “The Story Of Adidon” dropped getting deep into Drrake’s personal life.

Emotionless

“Breakin’ speed records on roads that these niggas paved
And they don’t like that, it’s written all on they face”

Drake is reffering to an older generation of rappers who do not necessarily agree with rappers who also sing.

“I always hear people complain about the place that they live
That all the people here are fake and they got nothin’ to give
‘Cause they been starin’ at somebody else’s version of–
That makes another city seem more excitin’ than it is”

The rapper addresses the fact that everybody wishes for a different reality in life.

8 Out Of 10

“I try to pay it less mind
They been keepin’ tabs on me like I’m payin’ next time
I think I sense a little fear from the other side”

8 Out Of 10 seemed to be the track directly aimed at Pusha-T and this line is referring to how Pusha-T dug deep into Drake’s life when he doesn’t know much about him.

Sandra’s Rose

“Sandra knows I pulled us out of a living hell
I’m the chosen one, flowers never pick themselves,”

This line clearly shows that Drake is referring to himself as “Sandra’s Rose” which is a metaphor for the chosen one.

Nice For What

“That’s a real one in your reflection
Without a follow, without a mention”

“Nice For What” song is a feel good song that the rapper made for his female fans who he is consoling in being care free and enjoying life. He addresses the perception that the people with the most followers on social media are “more important” than those without.

Talk Up

“Live every word that I’m rappin’
Say I lost 90 bricks and it happened
You probably wouldn’t believe everything that you seein’ right now if it wasn’t live action” Jay Z

Drake brings back the classic Jay Z on “Talk Up” who comes through flexing about his greatness. The rapper is bragging about how he doesn’t need to document his life on social media but has the paparazzi to do that for him.

Elevate

“I wanna thank God for workin’ way harder than Satan
He’s playin’ favorites, it feels amazin'”

The rapper takes time to thank God for his success saying that he is working harder than Satan.

Peak

“They don’t want problems with me
Talk used to be cheap, nowadays it’s free
People are only as tough as they phone allows them to be”

Drake goes on to tackle the issue of cyber-bullying from trolls on the internet.
