L Tido Reacts To Timbaland Sampling SA Hip Hop Beats

L Tido Reacts To Timbaland Sampling SA Hip Hop Beats. American rapper Papoose has linked up with award-winning American rapper Lil Wayne to collaborate on a new song called Thought I Was Gonna Stop. The track was produced by the master of production, Timbaland. The track has both artists rapping over the infectious beat that seems to be sampled from one of Cassper Nyovest’s hit songs. While this has not been officially confirmed the beat of the song, resembles Mufasa’s hit song, Gets Getsa, which was produced by Gemini Major.

Rapper L-Tido recently took to social media to share a snippet of Pap’s new track and in the caption, he noted the South Ah influence on it. Timbaland’s production on Papoose’s latest has that distinctive South Ah sound. It seems Timbaland has sampled the vocals from Doc Shebeleza Gets Getsa, which Gemini Major also sampled for his version of the song for Cassper‘s, Gets Getsa 2.0. In the caption of his post, L-Tido remarked that people shouldn’t think international artists aren’t looking to SA for inspiration. “Don’t ever think people are not listening to South African music for juice ?? gets getsa! An ultimate classic” wrote L-Tido.

The South Ah rapper was not the only person who picked up on the South African sample as several other fans of the genre commented about upon hearing the similarities. Timbaland is no stranger to Mzansi shores and its music, the award-winning American Hip Hop artist has previously performed in the country. During his performance in the country, Timbaland was left impressed with South Ah rapper Reason and even told him that he wanted to work with the rapper. In a recent interview with Texx Talks shared his unforgettable experience with Timbaland.

“Timbaland invited me backstage, Timbaland invited me backstage, infact before he invited me backstage he was backstage when I was performing. I remember when he got on stage I was like on the side of the stage just watching the show, I wasn’t in the crowd, I wasn’t at the back I just found a position and I remember seeing this guy with steam coming out of his head because he was hot and he just said yho cut the music and went did you hear that kid Reason I was like, yho. He was like you guys some talent out here, that kid is dope, that kid is amazing, he went on and on. And I was like wow this is legit, like this is happening right now,” recalled the rapper.
