Renowned for his significant contributions to the industry, the artist finds himself amidst controversy sparked by one of his social media followers who claimed that SA Hip Hop DJs are trash. “SA Hip hop DJs are trash and it all starts with Speedsta and everyone that came up after him, every DJ before then used to respect S.A Hip Hop.”
In a separate post, the critic challenged others to provide evidence if the celebrated DJ exclusively plays South African hip-hop in his sets, emphasizing that if the allegations are unfounded, proof should be readily available. “I’m lying? Please show me his set where he strictly plays S.A hip hop bangers, please.”

The award-winning DJ went on to assert that he’s currently even more prominent than he was in the past, solidifying his authority within the realm of hip-hop. “You guys” stop booking me, giving me deals etc etc because you say “he’s a hazard” I’m an even bigger hazard now!! F**k you & you big brand!!! I build my own shit! I’m hip-hop! BI**cH!!” He added.
With a hip-hop career extending over a decade and a half, Speedsta emphasized that it’s crucial not to undermine the significant contributions he’s made to the culture. “You must do your job at the highest level for 15 years for somebody to come tell you that you actually aren’t the best Carpenter!
