Yanga Chief Expresses How He Feels For Not Getting Credit For His Contribution On Run Jozi

Yanga says he would've been behind if he focused on writing songs only

Yanga Chief Expresses How He Feels For Not Getting Credit For His Contribution On Run Jozi. Yanga counts as one of the rappers who have served the longest in SA Hip Hop, but he couldn’t get as equal recognition as he had when he went solo.

Speaking to Riky Rick on the latest interview the award winning star Yanga Chief expressed how it made him feel writing Run Jozi by AKA featuring K.O and not getting credit. In fact it was with the success of the hit single that he felt he may go down in history unknown for his contributions. Run Jozi isn’t the only the single Chief played a major role in without credit.

“I would have gone down in history just as the guy who wrote those songs and that would have been my legacy. For me it’s the same thing as not having my name written on Run Jozi. It was a challenge, so I thought to myself ‘can you make something out of just being on a hook’ with no name and no credit.”

He even made it clear that he has no animosity for not getting credit because it led to greater things including Song Of The Year Award, Gold Plaque and Album Of The Year Award.
