Even through her own music, the rapper has always remembered to give back to those who have been marginalized. Recently, the rapper was in Soweto to show her support during the World Menstrual Day to show support to the girl child.
The Set In Stone chanter took to Twitter and shared the delightful moments she spent during the occasion. The rapper made it known that the girl child is so deserving of the much-needed dignified menstrual experience.
“Yesterday was World Menstrual hygiene day And so we visited Soweto to share some knowledge and “could you cups” with the girls. Every young girl deserves a dignified menstrual experience. Help where you can.” Tweeted Gigi Lamayne.
This is not the first time Gigi Lamayne has advocated for better social living standards. Upon her graduation, the rapper went on and released a single titled Fees Will Fall where she shares her thoughts on the struggle for equality.
Gigi Lamayne also appeared in a film created by the Project Everyone organization twenty years after the Spice Girls’ song Wannabe to support some UN global goals: an excellent education for all girls, ending violence against girls, ending child marriage, and equal pay for equal work.
